Predictable outcomes with successful modern luting protocols
As composites have become the material of choice in restorative dentistry in recent times, composite luting materials are playing a larger role in fixed prosthetics. The reliability of the bond between the restoration and the tooth depends on multiple factors: the type of restoration in question, the thickness and opacity of the restoration, the preparation design, the environment surrounding the prepared tooth, the types of cements available and the pretreatment of the tooth and restoration. This can be a confusing task for some dentists and it requires clear guidance. In this webinar, we will discuss how to handle the various types of restorations and how to bond them predictably to the tooth. The ideal workflow will be described along with its supporting science.
In this webinar, you will learn more about the following themes:
- Considerations for different types of restorations
- Influence of thickness and opacity of restorations
- How to pretreat the various restorative materials
- How to pretreat the tooth
- Choosing the appropriate luting cement
